I am seeing these guns offered new for less than $300.00. They are marked made in Germany and Walther with the Arkansas address. Are these all steel or are they the like the Umarex guns? This message has been edited. Last edited by: maxwayne,

Are they the 22lr models? Hard to believe the 32 or 380 models being so cheap. The Enemy's gate is down.

Yes, they are. My error, I thought I had included that.

I bought one a few months ago in .22. 100% made in Germany and triple proofed. Its the real deal. The PPK makes the ideal suppressor host. ____________________________ 220/229/228/226/P6/225/1911's/SP2022/239/P320 WTB- P245 or P220 compact w/ German frame

They aren’t marked Umarex. They are built by Umarex under the Walther brand name, just like they build rimfires for many other brands. Umarex does a decent job with rimfires. It’s when they try to build centerfire stuff like the Walther CCP, that it becomes a problem. But yes, the PPK/S 22 is Umarex. That’s why MSRP is $449, while the centerfire models have an MSRP just under $1000. Different materials, different factory, different construction, standards, etc. Rimfire can be made cheaply without issue.

And it will require two mules and a boy to pull the trigger on them. Trigger pull is so heavy as to make the guns unusable on the two I have fired.

I don't understood why some gun makers think an incredibly heavy double-action trigger pull on a .22 is somehow a good thing. Almost seems like they're actually trying to dissuade a newbie from wanting to own their gun and joining the greater gun community. Ruger is also one who does this. They've made some of their DA rimfire revolvers in a similar manner; I've yet to come across a LCR in .22 or .22WIN that has a reasonably firm DA pull that didn't instead try to mimic a finger/hand grip strength-building exercising machine. While it's not quite as vile as the PPK or PPK/S .22s, it's certainly no S&W 617. Even their GP100 in .22 has a heavier double-action pull than the GPs in .357MAG. As for the Umarex tie-in with the rimfire PPK and PPK/S. It pays not to forget who actually owns Walther and as such can play loosely with how certain guns they make and sell are branded. Yes Umarex also contracts and makes .22s for other brands such as Colt, Beretta and HK. But with their own Walther brand, it goes deeper as certain "Walther" .380 and 9mm pistols are not from Ulm but instead from Arnsberg, Umarex's actual home base. Where it gets deceptive is that the Ulm marking may still appear on those guns, but the actual proofing marks say otherwise. -MG

I've had one of the Walther PPK/s .22 LR pistols for several years. It has the unfortunate habit of launching the extractor into space every once in a while. So far, I have found it each time.

I own two of the .22s-- one stainless and one black. DA pull is impossible for kids and some adults but single action is clean and light. Reliability is 100% with most ammo. The sights are small for anything but plinking. Aftermarket grip panels are available but not compatible with the .32/.380 variants. These .22s fit every PPK/S holster. They are fun, affordable and accurate. I've fired hundreds of rounds through mine. Highly recommended.

Page late and a dollar short |
One came into the store the other day as a transfer. Germany marked. As it wasn’t a store inventory item I didn’t rack the slide or try the trigger. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
