I'm thinking of switching and carrying my P239 357Sig. I carry at 3:00/3:30.
I am looking for recommendations from the group.
I think I'd like to go with decent quality leather. Could be IWB or OWB. I have been most recently carrying a Glock IWB with a Vedder light tuck, but rethinking the setup for this gun. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

My Milt Sparks I-BAK. I'm so fond of that holster, it carries my P239 SAS so comfortably, I'll probably get one for my Springfield EMP, as well.

Milt Sparks VM-2. P239 just disappears. have the same holster for my P229, P226 and Wilson Pro. Been using Sparks since the Seventies.

Great little gun. Shoots as well as the big boys.

Vedder lighttuck w/ "the claw". I appreciate holster makers who differentiate between 9mm p239 and the slightly bigger .40/.357.
Being Kydex it's particularly important but I don't always see it done.
ETA:If I could read I would recommend something in leather Frown

I have a Milt Sparks Criterion that I bought for my 220 SAS carry and since the slide is close {my 239 is a 40} to the same as the 220 I find it works just fine. Being an IWB holster the gun is very secure.

I like the increased angle and that the Criterion lets the gun sit a bit lower. I also have a VM 2 that would work, but I prefer the Criterion.

Thank you for posting this, it’s a very timely thread for me as I’m in the hunt for the same. I had just picked up a 239 about a month ago with a hideous “battle worn” cerakote job on the slide. I just got it back from having the slide bead blasted back to to the stainless slide and new sights installed and am looking for some leather for it.

I like my Milt Sparks (JG) but it's 1.25" and doesn't fit most of my belts. The Galco iwb sum296b is an option but pricey and backordered. I have a couple kydex, one from Cobra Gunskin that I found in a bargain bin. Sorry, not much help.

My favorite was a Gould & Goodrich paddle holster... fit in the P229 model.
Unfortunately, the paddle broke and has been sitting around until I figure out a solution to fix it up.

In the meantime, I've been using a Don Hume paddle holster #30-1. I think it's for a 229 also.

*both holsters have a strap for retention.

I use a 5 Shot Leather Alessi CQC based platform. Easy on/off and very comfortable.

Mine rides in a Diamond D Custom Leather pancake holster at the perfect angle and with a perfect fit. One of the keys to good carry is the belt. If it’s not designed for the task the holster choice is much less relevant because they’ll all be marginal.

I have a Milt Sparks VM2 for IWB and a Kramer for OWB. The 239 is an excellent carry gun.
