I'm curious what everyone uses for the shooting competitions they compete in. Favorite holster? Any particular mount? Mag pouches? Belt - separate or one worn traditionally? Things like that. I have lots for concealed carry options, but really know little about other setups that can be used at the range or most competitions. I've seen Blade-tech and Comp-tac kydex OWB holsters mentioned a few times. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Oz_Shadow,

I am a huge Comp-Tac fan. When I first started shooting, all my competition and carry gear was Comp-Tac. When I was on Team SIG, we were sponsored by Blade-Tech, so I have a lot of their stuff. Good gear, without a doubt, but I still like Comp-Tac just a little more. I'm currently shooting Berettas, so I had to change my gear up a little. My holsters for my M9A1, LTT, and PX4c are Ghost holsters - but I still use Comp-Tac or Blade-Tech mag pouches. I'm a fan of separate mag pouches for competition, for a couple different reasons. But when I carry, I like dual mag pouches. Belt - all my competition belts are belts I wear when I carry concealed. I have a dual belt system from Blade-Tech for non-IDPA matches that has served me well over the years. Don't discount Uncle Mike Kydex holsters as well. I have more than a few for guns I shoot less frequently, but still need a holster for. They hold up amazingly well for the price-point. I know a certain pistol instructor who used one for years that probably had hundreds of thousands of draws on it and it never failed. FWIW

For me, I have a Blade-tech Signature on the way to try, with the optional small offset. At the price, it seemed like a nice option. I have not decided on any mag pouches. Also, just an ordinary Beltman Kydex reinforced belt.
