I know the C with in a square is Checkmate magazine. Just wondering who makes the other one? look like a J within a circle. The difference in the leading surface is what caught my eyes first.

It's unconfirmed, but believed to be Jagemann Stamping Company, out of Wisconsin.

Thanks guys - This was an education lesson for me. Never paid attention to the details that followed the language.

So this post got me to take a closer look at my assortment of P320 mags and looks like a lot is going on. 1) It's apparent the stampings C=Checkmate and J=Jagemann but as for the Made in Italy Mec-Gar magazines I also notice a separate marking on those. 2) The witness holes seem to be consistent with the Checkmate and Jagemann but the Made in Italy versions have either side or rear witness holes. 3) Most have black followers but some have orange, not sure which is most current. Perhaps we could get some more knowledgeable about these to weigh in.

That rug really tied the room together. |
The 17 round mags with orange followers and rear witness holes are hard to find. I have only ever really seen them with a new gun purchase. I wish they would list them as separate SKU's and list them separately so they could be more easily found and purchased. ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

They’re not easy to find, but they’re out there. Several online stores list them. So far, they seem to be only made by Mec-Gar in Italy. I haven’t seen a U.S.-made P320 mag with the rear witness holes yet, which is fine with me, because the Italian mags show consistently better quality. They’re sometimes listed as “high visibility follower” mags due to the orange follower. Cheapest source I’ve found is Desert Depot Arms (note that they come “bulk packed” in plastic bags, not in the SIG box, but they’re much cheaper). P320, P250 FULL SIZE 17RD 9MM MAGAZINE, XFL, ORANGE FOLLOWER - $36.99 P320, P250-M17/M18 9MM 17RD COYOTE MAGAZINE, XFL, ORANGE FOLLOWER - $38.99 No sales tax and cheap flat rate shipping ($6.99 last time I ordered). Rifle Gear sells them, apparently in the standard box package, but they’re more expensive: Sig Sauer P320/250 9mm 17rd Magazine Just on a side note, the P365 17-round magazines (with orange follower and rear holes) that I’ve seen are all made in the U.S. by Checkmate. I’ve never personally found an Italian-made P365 mag, but I know that 12- and 10-round Mec-Gar made mags exist.
