I went to my local fun shop today and to my surprise there was this Sig 226 Elite in the used section for $600 with 4 mags.

I believe it has the SRT trigger. It definitely has aluminum grips (my favorite).

This is the first Sig I bought with the newer style extractor. Most of my Sigs are from the 1990’s and early 2000’s and have the small style extractor.

I cannot wait to get some range time in with my new Sig! Cool

Great deal! Never had an extractor issue with any Sig, internal, external long or short.

Yeah I’ll echo the above regarding the extractor. I’m sure you’ll love it. I certainly would. Enjoy.

Very nice! I've got a couple of long extractor Sigs, and never had a problem. And if you do, it'll be MUCH easier to source a replacement that an older internal extractor from the folded slide guns. That's gonna be a good shooter, and was a steal at what you paid!

I got to shoot it today out in the country along with my AR15 pistol. Oh man I screwed up not bringing ear plugs. My ears are still ringing. I should have doubled up on hearing protection. Short barrel AR15s are LOUD as hell. The AR was 100% reliable and quite fun to shoot once it was sighted in.

My P226 Elite was AWESOME!!!!! and provided exceptional accuracy and 100% reliability. I burned through 100 rounds of Winchester 124gr ball ammo today. The 229 is/was my favorite Sig but this 226 really surprised me today.

I’d post up a video but I forgot how to imbed YouTube videos so a screen shot from a video will have to suffice for now. Damn need to loose weight.

That’s a great find, stick!

At that price, I’d have snapped it up, too!

Such a great find for $600! Glad it worked out well for you. After all these years I still enjoy people posting pics of their P226’s. I’d argue it’s one of the finest looking pistols ever, plus it’s a fucking awesome gun to shoot. For me at least, it defines SIG Perfection Big Grin

ETA: I still want it on my CCW, if I could only have one gun, it’d be my P226.
