What's a reco? The Hogue metal grips and the Hogue G10 grips fit the same as the factory grips on the P239, but have a lot more traction. The metal ones, if anything, are a hair sharp. Just enough that the pistol isn't going anywhere in your hand, even if you're drowning in a vat of astroglide at the time. I've used several different leather and kydex holsters for the 239. All worked well enough. For inside the waistband kydex, I like LAG Tactical products. They seem to hold up well, and they're not too thick. They're made in two pieces with a rubber spacer and screws in between, so flexing doesn't break a folded edge. It also makes them adjustable for tension, though a good belt does that, too. One of my P239's uses the soft finger groove rubber grips. It's very comfortable to shoot, the pistol does stay put when firing, and it also has plenty fo grip. Some don't like the flat front strap on the P239 grip. I do, but if you don't like it as much as a rounded edge, the Hogue rubber finger groove grip makes it feel different; not so flat. The LAG holsters use two clips which are located either side of the holster itself. This reduces bulk and makes the pistol more stable. A number of decent manufacturers are out there today. For inside the waistband, I do like the comptac minotaur, too. Regardless of what you do, the P239 is an excellent pistol; accurate, reliable, thin, comfortable. Magazines are getting scarce, as Sig discontinued the P239. Mine were originally in .40 and .357; I have 9mm, .357, and .40 barrels for them. The P239 will feed 9mm into a 9mm barrel, using the .40 mags. I never liked the original sights. I'd throw a set of Trijicon HD's or XR's on there.

My pancake holster along with a double magazine holder came in last month. It's from Diamond D Custom Leather in Alaska. It was made specifically for my P239 SAS. In a word: perfect. Incredible quality, materials, craftsmanship and design. I also have their Guide's Choice Chest holster for a 5" GP100 which is equally: perfect. I now have their Shoulder Holster setup on order for a P229. Even the sling they made for my Henry rifle is incredible.

The only grip I have on my P239s (yep, I have more than one) is the Crimson Trace Grip which is thicker than the factory grip but I like much better. I'd suggest a Hogue rubber combat type if you don't want to go the laser route. I use a standard inside the waste band leather holster... but most of the time I just slip it between my belt and the outside of the pants. I think is says Bianchi 100 https://safariland.com/product...stband-holster-10812 My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Hogue G10 checkered grips turned my p239 from a pistol I didn't like very much at all into one of my favorites. I carry mine in a Ritchie Leather Stakeout. I also own and recomend leather holsters from Milt Sparks Mitch Rosen RGrizzle TT Gunleather Lobo Leather For Kydex I lean towards Off the Grid Tactical, but I have a couple of Vedder holsters that I also like.

I put Hogue grips with the finger grooves on my 239 and carry it IWB a Garett Ind. silent thunder fusion holster. For me, this is the most comfortable holster I have ever used.

I didn't think I'd like them (I have small hands, and finger grooves almost never fit right) but the Hogue rubber grips were just perfect for me. As for holsters, I started with a Crossbreed Supertuck, and I still like it, but am far happier with my Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. I've worn it occasionally with their tuckable clips, but most of the time I prefer the belt loops.

I put Hogue grips on my P239 ...the soft overmolded version and ordered a set of black screws as the original were silver in color. I love Hogue grips and are on all of my DA/SA weapons...P220, P226 and P239. My primary carry holster IWB is a Vedder Holster LiteTuck...clicks into place, very secure clip, adjustable tension screw...great holster. I have recently gotten a Phalanx Concealment holster (not to be confused with Phalanx Devense Systems...not even close in quality). I tend to like the newer Phalanx Concealment option better as he will line the kydex with leather and it is very very well done. Softens feel, reduces finish mars and still holds very secure. Longer wait time but was well worth it for my P365.

You must try the rubber grips by Hogue or CT. I karma'd my factory grips to a forum member who bought a used P239 and wanted some factory grips. For IWB holster I use a Vedder kydex Lighttuck w/ "the claw". What I like: 1)Adjustable degree of cant. 2)Adjustable tension screw. 3)They make a specific holster for the 9mm or the .40/.357 rather than lump the two together.
