| CPOs can range from having nothing replaced to multiple parts replaced. SIG sometimes gets guns back from LEO departments, especially when they upgrade, that have never been used and, likewise, guns that have been run through the ringer. Even if they’ve never been used, they have to turn them around as a CPO and I’ve seen many that appear NIB. Regardless of what condition they came to SIG in, they go through them thoroughly before they release them as a CPO. In short, you should not have to replace anything. If there is any doubt about a part, they replace it. They do come with a 1 year warranty.

| My 229 was a cpo and I’ve carried it and shot the crap out of it for a good 12 years or so. Only thing I changed was grips and sights, and more recently got a Bruce grey trigger, but I’m tempted to put the old one back in, it felt smoother since it was well broken in |

| herbie220 I do not believe that Sig had a standard they most likely went through the CPO's one by one and replaced what that needed to that was worn out at that time. If you decide to have it refinished make sure it is properly gone through and inspected. The refinisher should have the expertise and knowledge to replace and parts that are needed. I would be happy to answer any questions that you have. Also we offer discount for forum members Cummings Custom Refinishing offers Quality Craftsmanship at affordable prices.
