chezwattsP365 Magazine base plate retention part called?
I can find no part number, nor anybody online that sells the internal magazine base plate retention part. Any ideas what it is called?
Sig support says "Not sold separately"
I had some 10rd p365 mags I disassembled for rust problem, and by the time I got to reassembly some days later had lost the little flat plates inside the magazine that hold the base plates in place.

chuck sExpensive lesson. We all know the feeling.

For a bit less money than buying a new magazine you can extend what you have to 12 rounds.

chezwattsThanks, yes, I thought that as well, but as it turns out, the extensions are dependent on the spring lock plate to stay in place on the mag. And I have a bucket of 12 rounders, I am resurrecting the 10-rounders for IDPA.

chuck sAre these parts the same in the 12 round magazines? I've not had 12 rounders apart side-by-side with 10 rounders.
Unrelated question to the springs: Do any your 12-round magazines rattle when loaded? I have two and one rattles and I don't know why. It functions perfectly but it's annoying. New enough with this pistol and haven't made a permanent decision on what magazine to carry in the pistol for best concealment. Still vacillating between the OEM grip frame and the Wilson Combat. Like the pistol itself these are compromises in concealment and shooting.

PatenHave you done a search for these on ebay? Try searching for "Sig Sauer Magazine Locking Floor Plate P365" there and I see some in the second result.

PatenI've been told it's not allowed to post links to live auctions here, which is why I only said what to search for.

chuck sNot an auction. Fixed price like a lot of items on Ebay.

PatenIt's still an item for sale and this is not the classifieds but I could be wrong.

chezwattsGoogle searches, gunbroker, Sig only. That was the answer - ebay. I didn't think they could sell gun parts on ebay.
Thanks, I found them. I was just about to have a Maker 3D print some.

chezwattsThe 10-rounders and 12 rounders use the same follower and same locking floor plate, different spring and mag floor.
No, none of mine rattle when fully loaded.

chezwattsBTW - it was "p365 magazine locking plate" that gets the job done, that was a great find and right words. I bought enough to have them in my workroom should this ever happen again.
Sig magazines rust, it is very frustrating, so I have to be mindful of my EDC mags, maybe some day the two locking plates I lost will turn up.
Thank you all for your help.

chuck sDo you have (or a link) to a .STL file to 3D print these? If anyone is especially skilled at losing small parts it's me.

There's a P365 manual safety detent somewhere in my office...

c1steveThanks for posting the floor plates for sale. I lost two myself, and now bought the last two they had.

I take the mags apart (I put all the losable parts in a bin) degrease them, spray the inside with silicone spray, dry, and coat the outside with Renaissance wax, then let it "bake" in the sun, oh, also then I put them back together. Every once in a while I wipe a bit more wax on it. Spare mags in storage get a spray of silicone and go in a bag. Various sig things have always had a rust prone finish for some reason. No tennifer in Switzerland I guess.
I have found it good practice to put all the parts in a box or bin when disassembling anything, saves a lot of aggravation later.
Lots of mags rattle, I just learned to stop being OCD about it, it makes me happier.
