Anyone have these two and can take a pic? My wife has the .380 and might want to step up to the 9mm but not if its much larger. Dimensions on a web page don't really show it Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

Here are some comparison photos: https://www.handgunhero.com/co...sson-m-p-9-shield-ez As you can see, they're effectively the same overall size. They're basically identical in height and width, with the most significant difference being the 9mm's slide is a mere 1/10th of a inch longer.

Somewhat related: I bought an 8 round S&W EZ 9mm model and took it for its first range session yesterday. 200 rounds shot without failure, a mix of HP and ball. Recoil was very manageable, given its size. Accurate as I can be with it. Trigger is pretty good. The grip safety released easily and no problem with getting the right hand position on it to make the shot. However: I did not find its slide to be all that much "EZ" to work. It does have two raised ribs on the end of the slide that makes it EZ to grip but the overall effort seemed to be about the same as some of my other compact 9mms. The EZ modification to the magazine does make for very EZ loading. So far, I am impressed with the gun. Pro tip: dont activate the grip safety with the slide off the frame. The slide wont go back on the gun if you do. This makes disassembly kinda fiddly. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Here's a couple good articles on each model with comparisons and side by side photos. https://www.americanrifleman.o...n-m-p-380-shield-ez/ https://www.americanrifleman.o...wesson-mp9-shield-ez

Aside from the caliber markings, the one physical giveaway between the two is noticeably weight difference. the 9mm is almost 1/3 heavier. The 9mm EZ weighs within 1 oz of a Glock G19. Dimensionally the two are so close that it often gets annoying showing the guns, as I'm regularly reaching for the wrong version thanks to our staff's habit of parking them in the display case in the first open shelf spot that they find. A habit that's sort of like looking for a parking spot at Costco. -MG

That’s been not my experience at all. Bought the EZ9 a couple years ago and find the slide is ridiculously easy to rack, almost TOO easy. Maybe I’m just used to my stiffly-sprung Kahrs which tend to be very hard to rack, but this one I have slides back with minimal effort.

My perception of slide effort may be a little skewed as I tend to find a narrow slide harder to grasp and move. The EZ falls into this category for me. It does rack easier than my G48 and my 225. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles
