whisky22Let's talk stoppages
A few weeks ago I had multiple stovepipes from my CZ RAMI. 1 new mag and 2 original, each having a few. Today I focused on my weak hand gripping harder. No stovepipes with 100 rounds fired. Can a weak grip alone cause stovepipes?
Normally I carry a Glock 33 in 357 sig. So maybe I grip my carry gun harder due to more recoil.

FredwardYes. And that's why I sold my Rami. It's the most sensitive pistol to limp wristing I have ever fired.

dry-flyMy Rami is dead nuts reliable, but it was put together by Cajun Gun Works. They and CZ Customs are the experts, I’d call David or Scott at CGW and ask them about it.

whisky22Shoots great. Had CZ custom trigger job. Beautiful trigger pull. Pistol might be a little too small though with my large hands.

kalfordYeah, I ditched my RAMI for another reason but it sealed CZs fate for me. The internals are rough and unfinished at best. CZ also can't seem to provide strong enough magazine springs.
So... I buy a CZ, some Mecgar magazines and +power replacement springs for the original mags. Dremel the feed ramp, chamber, and breach face. All of this just to make a gun run reliably?
I kept my SP01 tactical after all the work, but my rami and p01 went away.

rock185Yes, A weak grip can certainly cause stovepipes, especially in 9mms with light weight frames, etc. For instance, I can intentionally induce stovepipes in a Glock 17 by using a weak grip/limp wristing, etc. I can't do it with the .40 caliber with it's greater recoil impulse.
BTW, While I routinely read of magazines being suspected of causing extraction/ejection issues, these issues are not due to magazines. Your pistol should extract and eject properly, even if no magazine is installed....

Yep. This is what CZ did to mine. Going to put it through its paces, about 250 rounds, make sure they actually fixed it, then selling it.
RAMI is sexy as hell, accurate as can be, but I now have trust issues and the thickness and lack of carry holsters have made me decide to sell it.

jackimoeIf you really like it and don't want to get rid of it- you could always try different weight recoil springs and see if one weight offers an advantage over another.
I'm getting ready to trouble-shoot a CZ 40B with some issues.
