Hogue grips on my P232
I mentioned on another thread that I broke out my two tone 232 to carry for a while (You know, life is to short to carry an ugly gun).

I had a set of 230 grips on it since I like them better than the stock P 232 grips. I just ordered a set of Hogue G-10 grips for the 232 and they are great.

The stock P230 grips are going into storage. The last price I saw for these was about $125. The Hogue grips were about $120.

You have to use stock grip screws without the serrated washers (this was confirmed by Hogue). Will probably use a little blue locktite to keep them in place.

I have several 230 and 232's with Hogue's but not those, they look great. The stainless grip screw sets it off Trooper Joe. Thanks for sharing a pic of those.

I liked the factory grips on my P230.
They fit my small hands perfectly, I never had slide bite.

I like the P230 in it's original configuration.

Nice look with the new grips, astonishing prices on original grips !

Trooper Joe… I have the exact same 232sl and have been debating spending the coin to update to Hogue grips, I think your pics have pushed me over the edge. Are those the Hoge piranhas or the checkered if I may ask? I’m guessing the piranha but wanted to double check. Man that looks amazing…

They are black Piranha. I had these wood Hogue grips on for years but I like these G-10 grips better.

Trooper Joe, thank you so much for the response, it’s much appreciated. I just got done ordering the black piranhas for mine.

You will like them. You will have to use a little blue locktite or clear nail polish (not red locktite) on the grip screw threads since Hogue designed these to not use the serrated washer.

That set of G10 Hogues looks very nice indeed. But for my stainless P232 I do think that a walnut set from Nill is probably the most appropriate aesthetic for any SIG. $185 after s/h is added plus an undetermined length of wait time from Germany are the only challenges to overcome...at least for me.

I put a set of Crimson Trace laser grips on the stainless one I still carry on occasion... but as posted before more than once... my safe queen has a set of wood grips:
