Delete what? Re:'Assembled by RPS' - When investigating this question previously, I've found a couple of sources (on the internet) indicating that 'RPS' was R.P. Scherer GmbH. They were located in Eberach Germany, which was where one of Sauer's satellite factories was located, before the consolidation into SIG-Sauer GmbH by Lüke, and ultimately Lüke & Ortmeier Holding Gruppe or L&O Holding GmbH. I can't speak to the voracity of this info, but it seems somewhat plausible though. As others have indicated, SIG Exeter doesn't seem to know, and we may never really know the answer 'Assembled by RPS' mystery. ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! There is a function which permits you to delete your own posts within a thread. You may not however delete an original post once it has received replies. Simply click the edit icon in the lower right corner of the post you wish to delete. You will then be given two options. Click "Delete Message. . .?" which will take you to a confirmation screen. Click "Continue" on the confirmation screen and your post is gone. It's that simple.

nhracecraft appears to be on the right track re assembled by "RPS" who was likely a subcontractor or subsidiary of Sig Sauer with the pistol parts being mfg in Germany and assembled by RPS. Other than markings no indication of inferior quality when compared to other Sig P-220 mfg in W.Germany.

I have little desire to close any theory. But I can’t quite understand why a company with 60% of the worlds market for gelatin capsules be assembling a few pistols for SIG Sauer.

Same here. I did a search for RPS and Eberach, and only 1 hit came up for RP Scherer as a machine shop in the town. It indicated the company had 1 employee. All other hits concerned the gelatin manufacturing company.
