WeshoweSIG P226 Wood Grips
Gents,
I have a P226 that has the E2 grip modifications and would like to get a set of wood grips in the same configuration.
Is there anyone making a set of high grade wood grips in the E2 configuration?
Thanks in advance...

Not that I'm aware of. The E2 configuration would require much thinner material. And, thin and wood don't belong in the same zip code, when it comes to grips.

Weshowe12131,
Thanks. That's what I thought, but hope springs eternal...
Guess I can live with the polymer E2 grips if I have too.

JDGG-10 grips are thinner than wood, but not E2 thin. They feel better than E2 to me.

colt_saaWes,
Have you shot wood grips on a P226 yet?
If Salem were closer to Cocoa Beach, I would meet with you to try some P226s with wood grips before you rule them out entirely

WeshoweGents,
I have shot wood grips on my P226 Elite (way to fat). May have to try a set of standard Nill Grips and see how that works. Push comes to shove I can always fall back on my E2's, smile and be happy.

Wes,
Both the Nills and Hogue wood offerings are noticeably thinner than the Altamonte manufactured grips that shipped on the P226 Elite and other pistols

WeshoweGents,
I sold on a set of the Nill grips for my P226. They are on order!
