So I was on the hunt for a P220 in 9mm Luger and...
... This one just came out of nowhere. Big Grin

Shopped around here and there and nothing had jumped out at me. Then I was able to snag this one a few weeks ago.

'Tis a Browning BDA stamped as a 1977 model and an extra magazine came along to make it even better. The uncracked grips are stamped as being made in April of '77. Matching serials all around and the lanyard loop hadn't escaped yet.

There are still a few tempting Sigs I'd like to get, but this one just had to come home with me.

Very nice!

The 9mm P220 intrigues me. Maybe some day. Smile

Years ago, I posted on here that I wished for a Sig P220 in 9mm as I shoot the Sig P220 in .45ACP very well. Someone suggested CDNN, who, at the time, had some RCMP surplus guns (new) that had been imported through Washington State.

I called them, they had some, I ordered one! It's been a fantastic gun and I giggle every time I shoot it!

Good catch on the Browning and good luck on your quest!

I would be interested to know what this set you back. I own three of this model - 2 in VG-Excellent condition without boxes, and one NIB. I may be putting the two up for sale soon. Thank you!

Here's my '83 P220 9mm European model. I've had it for eight years, or so. She shoots just fine.

Now the OP needs to get the correct European heal magazine release .22lr conversion kit for it. It's been almost four years since we reviewed this conversion.

Thanks everyone!

Chasing down the Luger version of the 9mm P220 took a while. I also didn't have a Browning P220 either. When this was offered up, it was the Luger pistol and a Para upper. No boxes, targets, etc... but I wound up getting them and an extra Luger magazine for 800 bucks or so.

As for the Euro 22lr P220, I missed that one about three years ago. The kit had sold, but the guy had found one of the 16 round magazines after mailing it off, so I have one magazine (so far). Making it the only German P220 that I don't have, but I also found the newer 22lr and the 10mm a while back. Wink

I remember few years ago At the Oaks gun show in PA, a dealer had some black refinish Swiss p220 9mm and couldn’t give them away for $275.
I pass on them and got a Swiss Marked P6 for $375
