So I have a 2020 Staccato C2 that I am finally getting out to the range hopefully this week and was wondering if those of you who have 2020 models are you having any issues with the slide stop as I read it has been redesigned for 2021?

I also have the black Teflon mags and have read that they discontinued those as well for going back to stainless ones. Any issues with the black ones? They look nice and drop free fine in practice.

I know I need to just shoot it though if I see that others have had issues then perhaps I’ll exchange some of these parts/mags before heading out as I want the best chance of it running reliably.

I can't say as I've ever had any problem with my 2020 Staccato P at all, slide stop or otherwise. I'm 3000+ rounds in with like 3 or 4 malfunctions total, all ammo related.

I just got a lightly used C2 from a member here last weekend, but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, so I can't offer any commentary there. Thumb safety isn't quite as positive as my P, but nothing wrong with it per se.

I think member Chowser also has both a P and a C2, so maybe he'll pop in here.

What issues are there with the slide stops?

I've also had no difference in reliability with the teflon mags vs. regular stainless. I have far more stainless mags than teflon, but still have a sample size of about 6 or 7 of the black ones. They don't slide out of the gun quite as nicely as stainless, but that's a quibble.

^^^^^ well that’s good to know about your mags and slide stop. I guess it was the stop wasn’t engaging on last round hold open.

Put a couple hundred (through 5 shooters) through a rental Stacatto P at a vendor event, not a single issue. No idea it's total round count.

My ‘19 P had stainless mags and my ‘20 C2 had teflon mags.
I interchanged the mags between both guns and had no issues.

Good to know thanks. I loaded up my Teflon mags and the rounds kinda shake loose at about the 10-11th round. Then the last few really seem to nose down in the mag. The rounds also pop out pretty easily so I’m wondering if this is just the way 2011 mags are designed or not as to me there seems to be less than stellar tension to hold the rounds.

In my stainless mags, the rounds pop out with the slightest of pressure but once the mag is in the gun, I didn't have issues.

I don't recall, as it was a rental/demo gun.
IIRC, the mags were black, not sure if that indicates either.
