I recently sold my P239 in .357Sig. I have a Lasermax LMS-2391 red guide rod laser the buyer didn't want. On the Lasermax instruction sheet, it most certainly indicates the 2391 and the 2451 use the same Lasermax guide rod. Except the 2391 Lasermax uses a .357Sig/.40S&W guide rod spring and the battery end cap clearly says P239.

I'm 'guessing' the P245(P220Compact) would need a Lasermax P45(P220Compact) guide rod spring and a dedicated P245(P220Compact) Lasermax guide rod battery cap.

Or, would the different slide construction of the P245 and the P220 Compact prevent using this Lasermax even if I could find the proper guide rod spring and the battery end cap? Both the P239 and the P245(P220 Compact) have the same barrel length.

The Lasermax 2391 fits into my P220 Compact but I certainly won't shoot it without the proper guide rod spring and battery end cap.

The Lasermax instruction sheet that came with the LMS-2391 clearly states they made a LMS2451 for that model so, in theory, it should work for a P220 Compact. With the correct LMS-2451 battery cap and spring anyway.

Your input is most certainly welcome.
