Batty67Suggestions for rebluing my Browning Hi-Power
I keep looking out for another BHP that will be even sweeter than the one I own, which has a tremendous trigger (lots "of work done") and that has Novak night sights and nice wood grips. My favorite handgun, hands-down.
I came to my senses and realized what is bugging me, and would be far cheaper to "fix," is the finish. Novak re-blued the slide when they added the sights, but the frame is showing wear (Mk. III made in 1989) and has a few scratches and a ding where it must have been dropped (argh).
I live in Northern VA, any suggestions on where I can get it re-blued and the frame touched up/smoothed? I don't want to spend a fortune, but I'm fine with paying for great work. Also, I don't want it to take more than a month or so.

For blueing Fords in Florida. I think they look great in a hard chrome color......Satin silver......

rangemasterI would go matte nickle for reverse two tone. Like the practical model.

mcs1564I had two HPs worked on by Don Williams and he uses Glenrock Blue.
I thought the finish on both came out great.

RNshooterFor a shooter, I like Black-T. Slicker than snot and they do all the internal and small parts. It makes a good trigger even better and stops any wear.

lymanif you want local, there is a guy that does great work in the Lexington area,
I'll see if I can find his name, a friend had him do a Colt 1903 that was a basket case,
friend did all the prep (filing etc) to clean it up, the the guy in Lexington did the blue,
he was very reasonable, and did a great job
