I googled this and read mixed reports.

I have a W. German P220 and have an opportunity at a short "Carry" slide takeoff from a SAO. Will this drop onto my DA/SA frame?

Don't take my answer as any definitive or authoritative answer, but my sense would be no. The safety systems are different SAO vs DA/SA. You might even need a different locking block.

This is what Sig finally had to say:

"As long as the original 220 is chambered in .45 there should be no issues."

Works with no issues.

That's what I was thinking as well. I have a 229 Legion SAO and plan on buying the optic slide for it. From what I read, it will work with either frame.

My P220-10s work just fine swapping out SAO and DA/SA slides
