The latest issue is the barrel works fine in a different pistol..... I'm at a loss.
So, I might aught to post this in the smithing area but how do you polish the ramps? I have a dremal tool with those cloth heads and some polishing media but really don't know what you do after that... how much and how long?
I could post pictures but I can't figure out how that would help... both the ramps on the pistol(s) all look exactly the same. I'm going with what the guy in his 9mm p239 post did and just polish the heck out of both ramps... the problem now is I've done so much swapping I can't quite figure out which barrel was in the original 'problem' pistol.
Like I said, I'm now not sure which pistol has the original barrel in it... I got confused. but the last time I tried switching just the 357 sig barrels the lower of the one with the hand feed problem still had the problem... and so I just watched the video Ace31 posted above.... and polished both the barrel feed ramp and the ramp on the locking insert and with 4 rounds in a mag they hand fed fine.... I have to admit the polish compound that I had with my Dremel stuff was dry and so I cheated and used tooth paste.... Arm & Hammer Peroxicare to be precise.
I am having a very similar problem. At least two brands of defensive ammo are FTF, the case mouth is hanging up on the feed ramp. I purchased the pistol from a member here, w/o a barrel. Then I installed a Bar-Sto barrel. I sent the pistol to Gray Guns, for this plus additional work. Have not received it back yet.
