Young PadawanNEED HELP: Red Dot pegged at bottom
I recently purchased the Sig Sauer SOR1P103 Romeo1Pro Red Dot Sight. I installed the battery and increased the brightness so I can see the Red Dot. I do see it, but it’s pegged all the way at the bottom and does not appear anyway in the glass. I tried adjusting the elevation to the max up position, but it still doesn’t appear anywhere in the glass. I also slowly turned it to the max in the other direction, but still nothing. And no matter how I change my view, the Red Dot is never in my field of view thru the glass. I am doing something wrong?

kkinaMaybe try mounting it on the pistol. I wonder if you're actually catching a direct glimpse of the emitter, rather than the reflex image. Just thinking out loud.

DaBigBRI agree that you should try it on a slide first. You should also consider resetting it to the middle of the elevation adjustment as well.
It is possible that you have a defect with a broken elevation adjustment. I have not seen one come out of the box that way, but I have a couple optics (a Trijicon MRO and a Holosun 509T) fail and go out of adjustment and not respond to adjustments.

Young PadawanThanks for the replies. Mounting it did help, but now it’s pegged to the top right. Making windage and elevation adjustments has no effect. I think I got a defective sight.

Or it was centered when you got it and you broke the adjustments trying to "fix" it. This could all be user error.

AlyronMake sure when you are adjusting it you are referencing the fixed sights of your gun to see it move in relation to them. Remember once the gun/red dot is sighted in even if holding pistol canted (and sights misaligned) the round will impact where dot is.

It's possible that happened on one of the first RDS I bought, A Vortex Venom, couldn't get it to center and it wouldn't hold position they replaced it under warranty. You may want to get someone else to check it, and confirm.
