In another thread in this section, monoblok mentioned "my much modified Victory."

I recently acquired a Victory, and I'm curious about the modifications.

Don't have Victory but your search will likely include Tandemkross and Volquartsen. Dang, now I want to take out and play with my Beretta Neos. Wink

My victory has needed anything but minimal cleaning oil and ammo in thousands of rounds.
It has a satisfactory trigger out of the box, is near bullseye competition accurate and has been the most reliable 22 auto I have eve4 owned. It doesn’t need modification!!
Keep in mind with every effort to modify and improve you run the risk of taking a reliable gun and making it not so. If something works, for the love of god don’t mess with it

The Charging handle from Tandemkross really helps in cycling the slide. The Victory trigger also from Tandemkross is another must have.

So okay...

My TB Vic for me wound up being a 'project' gun, just because I haven't done anything like that with a .22LR pistol before and since at the time I didn't have a Ruger Mk anything in my cache and I was fairly happy with my Buck Mark Hunter as it is, the Vic seemed like the one that felt like the most likely VICtim to tinker with. Wink

The first 'must do' for me was looking to change out the grip. I think the feel and ergonomics of the factory part was less than satisfying so I switched it, first to an Altamont wood design then finally to a LOK G10 grip. Much better. I added the Tandemkross charging handle as well; it worked so well on the Vic that it inspired me to ultimately add a similar part to my Laugo Alien, which needed it even worse. I ultimately wanted to add a RDO so I swapped out the factory adjustable rear sight assembly for the Volquartsen pic rail.

Captain127 isn't wrong in saying that the factory trigger is pretty darn good, but Volquartsen and Tandemkross are both noted for their excellent aftermarket trigger assemblies. However VQ didn't have a trigger for the Vic at the time (not sure if they do now), so I went with the TK part since it's noted for cleaning up the action and travel that much more and allows for adjustment customization...and because it was the only aftermarket trigger available at the time. And it was on sale at the time.

I have the Volquartsen I-Fluted barrel waiting to be installed, but I did swap their own Vic extractor in for the factory part, which did have a few issues extracting cases from some brands of ammo. That issue is (so far) completely gone, but I still keep a watchful eye out. I also bought the TK lightweight hammer, a few of their other internal parts, and the extended magazine catch. But the gun was running pretty good as-is that I'll slowly start substituting the aftermarket parts in one at a time to see if I can keep from breaking it. I just ordered the Striplin gas pedal that TK sells; it looks kind of dorky but I like how similar devices work on CZ TSs and my P226 X-Five so why not?

Aside from the Volquartsen match barrel, the remainder of the parts haven't been that obtrusively spendy. To be honest I really wanted a longer barrel option, but at the time there wasn't anything around to consider. I'm not sure that this has changed even today, which is too bad. About the only thing I haven't bought is a compensator, which seems rather silly given my current skill set with a .22LR pistol. I doubt that I'd be able to really discern any difference, but knowing me I might want to give one a try in the future. A dedicated .22LR supressor would be a better add-on, I think, but right now I don't have one of those. Perhaps soon.

The enlarged & extended magazine release button on the Performance Center SW22 Victory Target pistol

makes it waaaaay too easy to release the magazine during Steel Challenge and bowling pin competitions.

Ask my friends/competitiors how we know this ...

^^^^Duly noted. I've had mixed results with extended mag catches on other guns in the past, but this particular purchase is what happens when Tandemkross has a sale going on and maybe, just perhaps, there was a finger or two too much scotch while at the keyboard happening at the same time. Big Grin

I picked up a Victory a few months ago and really love it! It is rock-stock as far as I can tell, and has a great trigger. No need to do anything to it...
