Here is an interesting video showing Wilson Combat’s machining equipment. Yes, very impressive. The Dems and Libs probably never expected pushback and gun sales like there is in our country at this time. -c1steve

It's interesting that the higher end manufacturers are seeing such demand. A hard demand for Glocks and typical production firearms makes sense, but it's very interesting that people are increasing demand for more expensive firearms, too.

One of my best friends has a small FFL business and he is a dealer for Nighthawk, it’s surprising how many $4k to $6k 1911s he sells.

Around Christmas of last year, I decided to add 2 AR-15 lowers. I have more uppers than lowers and I felt it was time to balance the ratio. Wilson Combat was one of the few websites with available lowers -- I bought two. Wilson's lowers would be available one day, and sold out the next. I watched the cycle regularly for months. This occurred for both their regular forged receivers and the higher-priced billet models. I also bought Wilson's lower parts kits. Grips were pretty easy to find. It took a little while to find the Magpul stocks I want. The real challenge has been with the Wilson TTU single-stage triggers. I put myself on "notify" on their website in December. I haven't seen any available and haven't received notice that Wilson has some that I can buy. So I called Wilson a couple of months ago and asked what's up. The WC rep recommended that I change my status from "notify when available" to an actual purchase. My credit card won't be charged until the triggers ship, but it puts me in a higher priority. Evidently, WC has a backorder of at least 7,000 completed AR-15s -- and that backorder level just doesn't seem to be decreasing. Even with the facilities expansion. Even with starting prices of around $2,000 per rifle. Sounds like it will a little more time before my lowers can go into service.

Raised Hands Surround Us Three Nails To Protect Us |
Pretty cool video. Though not quite sure what they are doing in regard to quality control. Not sure how I have not seen an X9 before. Looks pretty sweet. My question comes what happens when this demand dries up? I presume the new expansions will be paid for with current profits but what are their plans? Just shutter all the expansions, adapt them to new product lines? Off to peruse the WC website. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Nice! I’ve gotta give WC props on another front, too: when the ammo-crunch started kicking-in following the onset of COVID and then the summer rioting, they still had ammo (both their own and other factory brands) in-stock at non-panic pricing for quite a while. I’ve enjoyed their products like 1911 magazines and parts for some time; they’ve become one of my favorite places to order ammo from, as well.
