Standard P365 Upgrade Question...

I have given up trying to understand all of the variants of the P365, so I will ask my question here...

I have a basic, standard-sized P365 with manual safety, and I normally use the 12-round mag that came with it. I also have the 10-round mag that I never use, and a 15-round mag that I carry for backup.

I am wanting to buy a Wilson Combat grip frame to replace the stock one, and I want to be able to use both the 12 and 15-rounds mags without modifying them. Which WC grip frame do I need to purchase?

Honestly, if you’re always using the 12 round mag and never the 10 round, I’d get the XL frame and turn it into a home brew 365X. I have both (in the Wilson frames) and the longer grip frame is perfect for me. Then you can swap the baseplates between your 10 and 12 round mags and you’re good to go. There’s also a specific sleeve that should have come w your 15 round mag for use in the XL frame.

Is that the only change needed... to get an XL frame? If so, that's definitely a good option as I'll never use the 10-round mag; I just don't like my pinky hanging off of the bottom!

^^^ Yes, just get the XL grip module. But, as noted, you also need to get the base for the 12-rounder of the XL/X model, because your 12-rounder for the standard model as is will not work.

I came to say the same thing. If you are not using 10 round mags, then by all means get the XL grip frame module and just use 12 round mags. You will have to change the baseplates on your 12 rd mags to the ones that are compatible with the XL frame module.

Suggestions on where to get this compatible base plate, and specifically what to order? Thanks again... this stuff is confusing to me these days!

Well depending on how old your 12rd magazines are they may have come with the base plate you need, the current ones do.
If not It's SKU is 2700244-01-R Link

The 15rd magazines definitely came with the needed base plates, but if they were misplaced.
It's SKU is 2700136-R Link

However if you want one that will match your new Wilson grip there is this.
