The gen 3 guns have been around for a few months if not longer. They can be had online for about $569. $699 seems excessive.

Serious ninja gear right there. Almost makes a zev look good in comparison. Maybe not.

Paying extra for the look of battle worn...not interested in paying more for the same function.

Nope... I'd rather buy a holster worn used one, than a fake painted one.

I must be an old timer because I don't understand the carved up slides that seem to be all the rage.

Do they have one with gangsta sights so I can shoot like they do in the hood?

No. That model seems silly to me. YMMV. If I really want another Glock I will search for a FDE or OD frame G21.

Yeah, I've seen those. The dovetail is machined on the right side of the slide and not the top. I couldn't do the 50 cent version.

Kidding. Big Grin

Seriously, I don't know why someone would buy such a thing. I mean it is not even a 10mm... Confused

Part of the appeal of Glocks to me is their stark functionality. They aren't something you decorate. And if it is going to look "battle-worn," I want to be the one who put the wear there.

No way, not a chance.

I don't mind holster wear, I'll just do it myself.

It's no different than people who buy guitars that have fake aging and wear on them.

No thanks, I'll pass.

I have the "patrol worn" model. It has the following special features:

- The rear sight has some rust around its base
- The right side of the grip has rub marks from a seatbelt
- The back grip checkering is partially filled with a brown composite material consisting of powdered sugar and dead skin which acts as a protective coating and is actually harder than tennifer.
- the slide stop and front sight have most of their finish worn off
- It has a scratch on the slide and comes with a letter of authenticity documenting that the scratch was from tripping and falling during a real life foot chase.
- There is a large wad of lint lodged between the back of the trigger and the frame

I figure $900 is a good price?

Only if it has bits of cheetos and finger nail clippings embedded in there somewhere.
