My wife is extremley accurate with her firearms so at the beginning of the year I bought her a new Smith PC Victory along with a Ruger Mark 4 Hunter. She really loved the Victory trigger so I installed a Tandemkross Victory trigger in the Ruger and she loves them both. Ok fast forward to a few months ago and we bought a Sig P320rx and began the learning curve regarding red dots. Now the Sig moved to the head of the pack as this is her favorite. I asked her if she had any changes to the P320 what would it be. She stated that the Sig trigger is ok but not like the flat triggers. I installed an Apex flat trigger kit along with new bushing, spring, and trigger. I think I am still swearing regarding the reinstallation of the rear spring! The trigger pull average is 4.1 lbs. She likes it but asked if it could be a bit lighter. I come to you shooters, the experts, if there is anything I can do to lighten the trigger pull weight?

And yet Bruce makes it look soooo easy in his video. I've installed it 3 or 4 different times, and still struggle and curse. When in doubt, mumble

And this, too, shall pass away |
Contact Apex. I have their stuff in five handguns and found their customer service to be exceptional. That or Bruce Grey. He has a fantastic reputation for shooting and gunsmithing and is a genius with Sigs and HKs. If they can't help, take the gun away for two weeks, then give it back saying you stoned the trigger. Bet she things it's better.

The P320 competition trigger kit uses spring changes, including the trigger return spring. I'm not sure how much more you'd want to lighten it or could lighten it without affecting function. Grayguns say their kit is for competition-only. If you think about it, the P320 is a single action pistol, cocked, unlocked, no safety, and chambered...lightening the trigger isn't really necessary or particularly wise for a carry firearm. Unlike a Glock, the striker on the P320 is "fully cocked." By comparison, a Glock is "half-cocked." The Apex trigger on the P320 is great. Works fine for carry. I wouldn't seek to lighten it much, if at all. It provides slight takeup, a clean break, not much overtravel, and a positive re-set. Reducing pull weight becomes more of a crutch to cover shooting technique, rather than operating the trigger. I wouldn't lighten it up any more. As for installing the trigger return spring on the P320, I use a small pair of smooth, duckbill pliers to hold the back of the "u" on the hook that goes in the FCU frame. I've heard from others who have broken the trigger springs when using tools. I haven't yet, though I can't say if I've stressed or weakened them (hasn't failed yet). It's certainly a possibility. I ordered a Grayguns P320 armorers jig. It's quite nice; well machined, and very well thought out. If you're monkeying with the P320 much, it's probably a good investment.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you installed Apex parts. Apex parts do a wonderful job on M&Ps, but, for a Sig, if you want a decent trigger pull, you need to install the Bruce Gray, competition trigger kit. They HAD free shipping yesterday. Price of their kit is $129

The apex trigger kit in the P320 works great. The competition trigger kit isn't for carry firearms. It works okay. It's got a longer takeup. The trigger spring is lighter; the trigger feels weak to me with that spring. I may get used to it, but will probably go back to the factory trigger spring. The p320 trigger is pretty good as it comes from the box.

Don't believe it. Apex makes a great trigger kit. I actually prefer it to the Gray Guns trigger. ------------------------------ "They who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin "So this is how liberty dies; with thunderous applause." - Senator Amidala (Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith)
