Out scouring pawn shops today and found an older Springfield TRP in great condition no rail. It was priced like a Mil Spec. So less than 1/2 of MSRP. No accessories. Just 1 mag and the tritium sights are barely viable so I think it’s quite older. May send it to SA for new sights and fitted for a threaded barrel while there. Price was too good to pass up and no sales tax in guns here in FL so that’s worth several boxes of ammo.

This is my 3rd SA 1911 and 9th 1911 the rest are colts.

That sounds like a winner all-around - congratulations!

Good deal on the SA. It's crazy how many deals there are out there, if you have the extra scratch.

Any group pics? I have a fondness for Colt 1911 pistols. I was finally able to get one not long ago at Academy Sports but it is a newer model and not the one I really want.

It's funny, I am not sure if it is because I am getting older and now appreciate the 1911 and revolvers more or what it is but I can't get enough of them.

Whereabouts in the panhandle? It’s tough to find good deals.
