Recent purchase, Sig 220R3-45-RT-GSF
I made a recent purchase on a Sig 220R3-45-RT-GSF

I googled for info and found the following specs. I am 100% sure the frame is stainless which makes the weight spec possibly a typo. Does anyone here happen to have this exact model with any insight or interesting details about this model?
Thanks

Specifications:
Caliber: .45ACP
Action Type: DA/SA
Trigger Pull DA: 10.0 lbs
Trigger Pull SA: 4.4 lbs
Overall Length: 7.1 in
Overall Height: 5.5 in
Overall Width: 1.5 in
Barrel Length: 3.5 in (I know this a typo the barrel is actually 3.9)
Sight Radius: 5.7 in
Weight w/Mag: 30.4 oz (This seems to light for a stainless frame)
Mag Capacity: 8 Rounds
Sights: Contrast Sights
Grips: Wood Grips
Slide Finish: Nitron®
Accessory Rail: Yes
Features: Full size frame with short slide and 3.9” barrel

Those info are copied directly from SIG at the time the gun was in production. There have been plenty of errors with other guns as well. Barrel on the Carry is 3.9 and the weight should be 40+ oz due to the all stainless gun.

I'm the guy you outbid for it. YOU SUCK! LoL Joking man. Seriously, it's a nice piece. The carry P220's are getting harder and harder to find. That one was a jewel and 2-tone too. Keep it OR sell it to me when you're done.

To actually answer your question... It's 2 tone, carry version, looks like Equinox grips AND it was made in Germany---KEEP THE GUN!

I was afraid that another on this forum might be as interested as I. Sometimes I just back off letting it go to the other guy, but in this case, I really did want it bad enough to go a little aggressive. Good luck finding another, you may end up with a better deal. It happens.

Yeah, I seriously thought of taking it a few passes further in the auction and then my brain kicked back in LoL You made a VERY FINE CHOICE in buying that one.

I am going to take a guess at the last 3 letters of the model number -GSF.

Possibly German Stainless Frame?

The frame has that proprietary Sig rail AKA "skinny rail" and NO beaver tail. I really like those two variations over the later 220R3-45-SSE.

I'm unsure on that too. My guess was a low count custom run like the Guntalk P220 10mm. those had the label noted like that. It seems they used to do special order for companies a little more often back then. It's not German Stainless Frame though. Someone will chime in with the actual answer. I'm just speculating.

Excellent find. Your observations gave me an idea on the abbreviation. After looking at the GA example photos, I guess the GSF could be German Sport Frame.

From a completed Gunsamerica auction:

https://www.gunsamerica.com/92...MINATE-GRIPS-NEW.htm

Description:
(220-45-S-GSF)THIS IS A NEW IN THE BOX STAINLESS SIG SAUER P220 45ACP CAL. SINGLE/DOUBLE ACTION S.AUTO PISTOL WITH A 4.40" BARREL, FIXED SIGHTS, TAC RAIL,WRAP AROUND LAMINATE WOOD GRIPS, COMES WITH 2 FACTORY 8 ROUND MAGAZINE,THE ORIGINAL BOX AND MANUAL.**

If 'GSF' is indeed an indicator for a SS frame gun, then it would appear that someone got the weight of your gun a bit wrong. My P220 Carry SSE supposedly has a weight of 39.1 oz. with an empty mag (I've never actually weighed it myself, only quoting several internet sources). Your GSF should be somewhere close to that.
