Holster Suggestions for 229 SAO
Currently have a Galco SSS, Side Snap Scabbard for the pistol. I like the holster and like the way it carries but reholstering is a bitch. The sweat guard interferes with the thumb safety and prevents the gun from being fully inserted. It can be held aside and the pistol fully inserted, nut this is a 2 handed operation. Suggestions welcome for alternatives.

High Noon Holsters makes good stuff.

They have a nice selection of leather and kydex products. I have the Patriot for my P229R DAK:

I've also been known to carry my P320 Sub Compact in an Under Taker shoulder rig:

Plus they're giving 30% off with promo code "mad30".

I use Milt Sparks holsters for my carry guns. They are comfortable and hold the gun firmly.

Andrews Leather Saddle Style. He will make it any way you want, cant or straight drop, thumb break or not, etc. And a wonderful gentleman to talk to.

This is my Andrews Saddle Style for the SIG P220-10mm SAO.

I "trained" the thumb break to sit away from the holster for easier re-holstering. Done carefully, it is one handed and quick to re-holster, and safe so that you don't cover yourself.

I’m carrying my P229 SAO IWB in a Black Arch Protos-M rig. Just give the sweat guard a little push to the side with the thumb while reholstering, no drama. It’s so comfortable I occasionally find myself checking to be sure it’s there- no joke. Hides very well indeed.
