Sorry it didn't work out, but glad that you had the opportunity to try before buying and figured it out before you committed.

I really like the look of the 92XI "Squalo" and have looked at one several times in the gun store. I'm just not impressed with the trigger. It's just heavy and had a lot of creep before the break. I figure that, if I bought one, I'd need to bear the extra expense of sending it to Langdon for a trigger job. And then, I'd still be uncertain about whether the result would be satisfactory. I had an LTT 92 with the trigger job, and the single action trigger on it was very good.

Funny timing on this thread. I bought one of these on a holiday sale for $599:

I sold an M9 NIB I never got a chance to shoot and always wanted a Beretta since to add to the collection. I have no desire to add optics since I mainly shoot irons and they look ridiculous on a 92 anyways. I haven't shot this one yet since it just came in but the trigger is kind of awful for being SAO. We'll see how it actually shoots when I get around to it but I don't have high hopes.

The only gripe with the 92XI’s SAO trigger is the amount of take up. All the other movements are very good for a factory trigger.
My plan is to shoot a couple matches with it, then decide if an aftermarket trigger is in the cards. There are two such triggers out there that are designed to reduce the amount of take up and leave everything else the way it is.

What you need is the 2Patriots trigger.

Buy it, if it’s priced right. Why the mental ping pong over it and the Sig? You need both.
