Case for storing and transporting slides? Login/Join

I have multiple extra slides for some of my handguns such as .22lr conversions.

Has anybody found a case that works well for storing and transporting them?

I was thinking about trying out those Magpul daka suppressor cases but it doesn't look like it'll provide any cushion.

Any suggestions?

Like a pelican 1170. Pluck the foam right and you can get half a dozen slides in there at least. About 1/3 the size row business briefcase.

I posted this question a few years back and got a really good recommendation for the Maxpedition 8x10 pistol case. I picked one up for $35 and it's awesome. Here's the old thread:

Here's the pic from there:

I still haven't found a good solution for taking just one extra slide to the range, but this works for storing a bunch of them in the safe.

That case worked very well. I no longer have any of my P320s but if I did I would still use this setup. It is hard to beat and fits right in most rang bags.

I use Maxpedition R10 Razorshell to store/ transport extra slides.

Below is a link to the R7

I actually have an R7. I just tried and was able to get two P229 .22 slides in there. It was a tight fit but it zipped closed. It would easily fit my P229 .40 slide and .357 barrel. It'd probably be too tight for a longer slide like P226, but I'm sure the R10 would do the trick.

Thanks for the idea! Now I have a range transport method too. Looks like these are discontinued by Maxpedition. Still available from a few places right now but prob. not for long.

Something like so? https://benstoegerproshop.com/...e-storage-pouch-bag/

Get the 170mm and it should fit all slides, unless maybe with an optic.

For storing spare slide and cylinders I use the small Pelican cases.

Most come with the cubed foam interior...You just pluck out cubes until you have the right shape

I toss some fresh packets of silica jell in there since the cases are air tight and I am in Florida

I also have some of the Pelican Micro cases. These hold a snub nosed revolver, are padded and air tight, great for travel

I have never seen one in person, but Harbor Freight sells Pelican knock-offs for real cheap.
