My brother and I went to the gunshop today to pick up some ammo. They had a one box limit on Federal 124gr red tip 9mm training ammo at $22.95 a box of 50rds. We each got a box. Then we each got 5 boxes of 5.56 and then two boxes each of Honandy Critical Defense hollow point ammo at decent, non jacked up prices.
Was then just checking out the pistol cases to see if they had a Glock 43x MOS with the rail or some of the new Walther PDP pistols, but they were sold out of them. I was about about ready to leave, when my brother came up to me and said, I think they have one of those Sig parts you have been looking for.
I walked over to the case and they had a Sig Custom Works P320 FCU FOR $349.99 . I said I would take it and asked if they had anymore. They had one more, and I said I would take that also. I have been looking for two of these since they were first released, and am set up for email notification at at least six websites, and have two on order at another gunshop. We left the gunshop and headed to the Casino which is only around six miles away. I had $20. free play money from the casino. I played a slot machine for about 30 minutes, cashed out at $20. and was walking toward the door to leave, when
I thought, oh hell, I am going to run $20. through a $2.00 slot. I ran $20. through it, and thought well I will put one more $20. through it. Around three hits into the $20. it hit for $200. and I cashed out and left. I got back home and just finished assembling one of two identical P320 pistols. I had all the other parts and was just waiting for two FCU's.
I added Armory Craft take down levers and Wilson Combat slide releases to the pistols. I also plan to add the new Sig Romeo 2 to one of them, as soon as they are released. Which should be pretty soon now.
I hope to shoot one of them in the next few days as we are having some pretty warm weather coming up for this time of year. I usually prefer to stick with the factory barrels, but I went with FAXON barrels in both of them, because I didn't want a LCI cutout on the barrel hood. They both fit very good with no play and no binding in any direction. The bores look excellent and they both passed the plunk test. I also have a Olight BaldrVN mini white light with green laser (modified by Vinh Nguyen). The holster is a WERKZ made for the Olight Baldr Mini weapon light. I am hoping they are both reliable tack drivers. Here are a few Pics.

What modifications did he make and what were the benefits obtained?

I gave mine to my son and he bought two more.

I don’t have a micro subcompact pistol right now but I intended to replace the P365 I sold with P365XL and put that same model laser/light on it.

He replaced the XPL 6500K LED with a dedomed XPG2 in PDT (premium dedome tint - he handpicks them with the less green and yellow in it - when dedomed, many led's tint turn more greenish). You can also pick an XPL iLED in a 5000K or 4000K and also a diffused lens if you want but I wanted the most throw, which is the dedomed XPG2 PDT.

The candela goes from the stock 4225cd to 9Kcd. For reference, the TLR7/8 is rated at 5Kcd.

I gotta say. Its pretty nice for such a tiny weaponlight.
