I have a real hard time believing the story about that. I get that someone might be such a bad shot that never hitting the target with a fair amount of rounds might not surprise them but surely they would notice something extremely scary and unusual going on right near their face with all the flash and burning powder having no where else to go.

Jeebus, we found them all the time! For fun’s we would get the K9 to come to my beat and we’d just let him look thru empty houses. Wouldn’t take more then a few minutes and he’d point, and lo and behold…another Hi-point.

We were chasing a guy we had warrants for one night and he jumped out a window in his drawers…several blocks of me chasing the K9 guy and his beastie, all while keeping the bad guy in sight. After we hooked him up-the K9 guy says we’re walking him back the way we came, dog showed me something on the chase. So we got sweaty Pookie in his tighty whities and walk back. Dog stops points and when the K9 handler says “get it, the dog reaches in the grass and finds a gun. Baddie says “that ain’t my gun” we both start laughing because we knew you could throw a rock and find a hi-point with your eyes closed where I worked.

Between 2000 and 2010 Mostly we recovered Hi-points an Rhom Saturday specials..occasionally we’d find a real gun like a S&W or Ruger…in about 2010 that changed to glocks…with lots of them found to be sold in Greenville NC, stolen guns. And we found a lot of our stolen guns were recovered in NYC and Greenville…
