| My 51k has a PTR receiver. It does NOT like the aluminum mags, but I have had zero issues when using steel mags. A good chunk of the fire spitters (51/51k clones) have PTR receivers. If you run into issues down the road, there are good smiths around that can fix what the factory can’t or won’t. |

| I have probably a dozen PTR guns all nominally HK clones of various models. But nothing in .308 (seriously a .308 pistol?) Anyway their price point is well below the real deal HK and that's why they exist. I have not had very many issues on the ones I own and customer support I would describe as average. But I'm pretty confident based on my experience that by and large the gun will do what you want, or if not they will rectify it. But if I was getting a .308 pistol this is not the one I would pick. but YMMV and FWIW>

I am thinking about making an SBR out of it. I have a full size H&K 91 and a few stocks. I saw a guy at the range with a belt fed, full auto, short barreled 308 H&K and thought it was neat. I figure, since I have an extra stock, why not? |
