I've been using a Milt Sparks belt which has served me well but is in need of retirement. What are your preferred/recommended makers? I've looked at the current Milt Sparks offerings and don't really like anything I see there. ThanksThis message has been edited. Last edited by: SIGWolf,

Armour Belts My only source for gun belts anymore. Mike is uber responsive and been a member here for years. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…

https://www.thebeltman.net/ Dave makes a very high quality product, and provides excellent service. I bought one of his black bullhide belts with internal siffener about a year ago and wear it pretty much every day, and it's showing no signs of wear. It supports the gun well, holds my pants up, and is comfortable while I'm doing it...I can't ask anything more. I bought it to replace a Rafter S Gunleather belt that I'd had for 15 years, and the way this one has been holding up I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts at least as long.

Agree with Armor belts. That would be #1 Also Beltman https://www.thebeltman.net/col...ns/bullhide-gunbelts And Bullhide--steel core belt is indestructible. https://www.bullhidebelts.com/

It's all part of the adventure... |
I like Bigfoot for leather belts; I have a couple double layer belts (black and brown) and they have the full-length steel in between. Mostly now I wear Nexbelts, because I like the greater adjustability. They all work great supporting a carry gun, two mags, and a fixed blade knife. I have moved away from leather for a couple reasons. I have a couple Blue Alpha belts with the compact Cobra buckle. It's small enough to go through belt buckles but still is easy to buckle. They are better than leather to me due to inherent stiffness, ridiculously easy to buckle/unbuckle, and basically infinite adjustability.

I have been using Nexbelt. They are sturdy, support heavy firearms and gear and have a ratchet device that does not let it loosen and sag!

The Beltman makes a nice leather belt. For synthetic I like the Magpul El Burro. I have taken it to multiple beaches and submersed in salt water and no corrosion is sweet. I primarily appendix carry so the Kore X7 is my go to. Why? Being able to discreetly tighten or loosen your belt is great when going from sitting in the car to going for a walk. Kick back in the recliner at the movies, it’s easy to discretely loosen your belt and tighten upon exiting. I was worried about the durability of the belt. I’ve had it over a year and the mechanism and belt has held up well.

Johnston Gun Leather closed shop in 2017 but Chad has recommended Beat Creek Holsters. They appear identical to mine. It's been my only belt for over 6 years. Probably needs some love. Thanks for the post. https://www.bearcreekholsters....dse/accessories.html ![]()

Beltman. I've had my present version for well over a decade. There are some other holster makers that have very similar quality but not anywhere near the price and service. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

I've used Beltman and Hank's, but I'm getting away from leather. I live in a hot, humid climate (in summer) and sweat causes the leather to deteriorate. Also, my weight has been fluctuating, and I prefer more adjustability than the standard holes. I have a couple or Kore belts I've been alternating with, which are serving me well. They adjust with notches on a ratchet type buckle, giving me LOTS of adjustments to encompass a wide variety of sized guns IWB. The backing is synthetic, and I can wipe them down with a damp cloth when needed to wipe away salt and sweat deposits.

I've never owned a finely crafted leather carry belt, although I've admired the various webpage photos. They are works of art. But I'm hooked on the Nexbelt (Kore belt is similar) ratchet system.

I wear one of these as well, had it for some time now - it’s holding up just fine and I find it comfortable.

I don't know anything about Vermont, but are there any Amish communities there? Friend of mine has a summer home in Indiana close to an Amish Community. Long story short- I picked up a brown, no frills belt. Probably bullhide... Went back to pick up another brown and 2 black. It's been easy 15 years. Don't need a second pair! Tough, sturdy, long lasting and they keep a gun in place! I think I spent $15 on each. Money well spent! ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Finding the sweet spot |
I’ve been using a Kore Essentials belt for a couple years and I’m happy with it. It doesn’t sag, stiffer than the Filson leather belt I’d used for years, and the ratchet adjustment allows me to adjust for comfort.
