$286 after tax at local Cabelas. 5.5” black model. Overall pretty impressed. There’s a defect in the cerakote on the front/bottom edge of the muzzle but I don’t care. Trigger is heavy; initial 7.5 lbs now about 5 lbs 13 oz. But it breaks pretty clean. Trigger spring feels overly strong. Fit is good for what it is. I don’t like the new Ruger loading/unloading manual of arms nor the fact that you have to rotate the cylinder after you close the gate before the hammer is unlocked. But that’s just a preference. Hammer force to cock seems excessive and checkering is not super grippy. Maybe a lighter mainspring will sort that. It was close to sighted in for me out of the box; 5 clicks right and 2 clicks up got it hitting close to POA with my bulk Aguila super extra. Everything worked fine. .22 mag cylinder works fine and prints about an inch to the right of the 22LR POI. Gun is heavy compared to my 3-screw Super Single Six; 2 lbs 5.9 oz compared to 2 lbs 1 oz. I don’t love that but it’s no biggie. Accuracy with my eyes and my rest is about the same; 1.5-2” at 15 yards standing rested. Overall seems like a solid buy. --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.

Cool, thanks for the review! I've been curious about these. My son had a regular Wrangler that had some issues (bullet stabilization) and had to be replaced by the factory. The gun he got back still had some stabilization issues with Remington Golden, and printed about 4" left at 15 yards with Federal Automatch, which is my go-to cheap plinking load. This is obviously a problem on a fixed sight gun. When they announced the Super Wrangler with adjustable sights I thought that might be a good solution, but in the meantime my son found a MkII Target and we traded the Wrangler away on that. IMO it was a good call, but now he doesn't have a revolver anymore, and there are some things you just can't do with a semi-auto.
This is interesting. My son's wrangler was definitely lighter than my Single-Six. Granted, my Single-Six is a stainless model with a steel grip frame, but the Wrangler was made of something far lighter, like aluminum or Zamak or something. Is the Super-Wrangler actual steel? That would be a positive so far as I'm concerned.

Yeah the Super has a steel frame. The grip frame is probably still aluminum like most Rugers. --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.

Picked up a plumb brown Wrangler and put my old Single Six grips on it. The XR3-RED grips from my Blackhawk also fit. I got the grips from Chigs Grips. https://chigsgrips.com/ruger-s...tion-revolver-grips/

Pretty cool. You could heat brown the cylinder to match. Like a vintage gun. --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.
