I'm in the market for a new gun belt. I have a battle belt setup already, but want a slimmer two belt system for the range and action pistol group.

One thing I'd like to use is tek-lok for my pistol mag carriers to make the belt as easily modular as possible and allow me to cant the mag carriers on the belt. I've already got a fair amount of tek-lok , so I'm not interested in switching to ELS or similar, because that's added investment I don't need. My holster mounts are all G-code, so I'm set on that too.

What I'm looking for is a 1.75" outer belt, velcro lined. If the outer belt has narrow molle sections, that's a plus. Cobra buckle preferred. I'd obviously like a thick outer belt, but slim enough for tek-lok.

In particular, I've been looking at the G-code contact series belt. Their customer support folks told me it's about 1/3rd of an inch thick. I grabbed one of my tek-loks and it looks like the space available is just about 7mm, so a smidge under 1/3rd of an inch. Leaves me a little leary of dropping almost two bills on a belt that I can't verify will be tek-lok compatible.

So suggestions for a quality 1.75" two-belt system with an outer belt that will work with tek-lok? Or a review of the G-code contact series belts?

I don’t have it yet, but look at RDR Gear Instructor belt. I’m waiting for a sale. https://rdrgear.com/products/r...uctor-enhanced-belts

I use TekLok on my Safariland outer belt, but I put some stick on Velcro on the TekLok to mate to the inner belt. Otherwise you have that section that isn’t attached to inner the belt.

I have the Esstac belt as well that I really like but I can’t vouch for TekLok fit and it doesn’t have MOLLE.

Check out High Speed Gear. I Use two of their belts. Gear belt with Velcro and rubberized liner for shooting and battle belt for turkey hunting (hate big vests). I carry a fixed blade knife that see a TekLock on the gear belt. Fits fine.

Check out Emdom - https://www.emdomusa.com/category-s/97.htm

I use a Tactical Tailor inner belt with the Emdom/MM CM Belt, works great.

I was pleased with the ESSTAC version enough that I ended up with 2 setups. I like their version of malice clips and their molded belt loops work very well.

I ended up mounting Safariland QLS plate on the belts and use the QLS forks on the holsters. I mainly use ALS holsters and the practical tactical from Wilson because the6 mimic the 3 screw mounting so I can put plates on them for interchangeability.

One thing to watch for, is that the inner belt matches the outer belt. For example, the inner Safariland belt is 1.5" while the outer is 1.75". It's just not a secure to me.

One company used to only put a 1" wide strip of velcro on the outer belt, make sure to check what you you're buying.

I really enjoy the ESSTAC but my next one will be RDR or Eagle with the MOLLE and D ring on the Cobra buckle, just because.
