If you're willing to look at another option, the .38 or .357 LCR would be (and is) my choice.

Light, but the hogue grips tame recoil pretty well. Enclosed hammer, the front sight is easily swapped to something easier to pick up at speed, and good trigger out of the box.

IWB, for me the SP101 brings enough added benefits to justify its additional weight. J frames do not work as pocket guns for me and are therefore relegated to ankle or NPE IWB.

The two actually compliment one another more so than compete in my experience.

I don’t have an LCR but did dry fire one. Best trigger out of all in my opinion, even better than my 442 with reduced weight springs. I just wish it came with a grip as slim and compact as the 442 since I pocket carry.

I have a 442, but lately the only little revolver I've been carrying is the LCR in .357.
It does have some recoil with magnum rounds but not that bad.

I have a 640-1. Can't beat it. Not too heavy IWB but enough heft to comfortably fire the .357. Mine also has a front night sight which is easily acquired. I had a 940 that I foolishly sold which was also an excellent EDC.
