bobbehP227 SAS G2
New to the forum here. I am contemplating purchasing the P227 SAS G2. I was always impressed with the 226 and 228 and when I picked up the 227 SAS it just sat well in the hand. Any pros or cons with the pistol? I wanted to go the Sig route for my next .45 instead of going the Glock route. Thanks for your input.

The only con I can think of for the majority of us is the thin/skinny trigger. Everything else is pro on this gun.

12131Oh, and just stick with the 10-rounder, and stay away from the 14-rounder, and you will be fine.

Skins2881Welcome to the forum! I want one bad, can't find a way to justify it yet, not for lack of trying...

Il Cattivo^^^

Find the upper half of a 220 Match to mate up with it. Suddenly all will become clear. Except the skinny short little trigger. That still seems perverse, and (in my experience, at least) is best promptly replaced with a Gray Guns intermediate trigger.

BTWI have had this pistol for several years now. I purchased it with the idea of it being my in-lieu-of pistol to my issued duty pistol. It shoots great. I don't mind the short trigger at all (of course I have small hands). I've qualified with it several times, with one of the qualifications being a perfect score. The only disappointment being that I couldn't use the 14 round mag. The pistol was nothing but issues with that mag. As long as I don't use that mag the pistol runs flawlessly.

skysharkGood gun. The fatter grip helps control recoil a little better too, IMO. I hear nothing but bad things about the 14 round mag, but the one copy I have has worked perfectly for going on two years now. Granted, I don't shoot the gun a whole lot but when I do I always take the 14 rounder and it always works. Lucky I guess.

Virginia sheepdogThe 227 SAS is good to go, especially with G10 piranha or checkered grips.
