I’ve worn glasses all my life and just use those for eye pro. I know they aren’t wrap around but unless I am outside with sunglasses I don’t want the extra bulk of two layers of glasses. For ear pro I have a set of Peltor electronic ears I have been using for like 20 years and they work great. I don’t remember the specific model but I am sure they have long been supplanted by another model. If I had to I would buy another set of Peltors without a thought. I have a set of Howard Light as well for other folks and they are fine but nowhere near as nice as the Peltors IMO. Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

For eye pro I am a big fan of Smith Optics. I like them so much I gave a pair to my Marine son to take on deployment. I think wraparound is actually essential. I can’t count how many times I felt backsplash from shooting steel targets. No way I would skimp. I would say cslinger, you should wear the safety glasses over the top unless you are absolutely positive your prescription lenses are up to the ballistic task. You only have one set of eyes.

Eyes: ESS Crossblades. They sponsored Team SIG, which was how I was introduced to them. Before that I was an Oakley guy. The biggest reason (beside being ANSI Z87.1+ rated) I've stayed with ESS is their stems are flat (creates less gap with over-the-ear hearing protection) and they don't create pressure points on your head. After 4-8 hours of wearing eyes/ears non-stop, you come to really appreciate it. Ears: MSA Sordins. Every person I know who's bought a set has said they wished they'd bought them sooner. I wore Howard Leights for years and loved them, but IMHO, the MSA are worth every penny.

Whatever set you get, upgrade the muff to gel cups. Your ears will thank me.

For eye pro I've always had an extra pair of aviator style prescription glasses made, yellow tint with polycarbonate lenses. I'm overdue for a prescription change now, and this time I may go with a prescription wraparound type. Ear pro is a pair of MSA/Sordin Supreme Pro-X. I wish the cups were a little bigger as they barely fit over my ears, but otherwise they're great. I used to use a set of David Clarks with fluid-filled cups. They're a little bulky but worked great for being un-amplified up until the seals failed and the fluid all drained out.
