It looks like the 22lr clone of the P232 is out. ter reliability of the Mosquito.
I’m curious who the OEM manufacturer is. They offer what was the Mosquito so I’m a little hesitant.
It would make a nice plinker if it is reliable. Right before SIG USA dropped the 232 they had a 22lr 232 at NRA or SHOT. Was this it?
I wonder if the Mosquito issues, the dropping of the 232, the new management or all of the above stopped import.

A good guess would be Umarex. Just about every .22lr version of their center-fired gun has Umarex’s fingerprints on them.

The mosquito was the worst dog ever, made the mistake of buying one when they first came out, different ammo, different mags, polishing, made no difference, when finally a round fed fire and ejected it was a cause for celebration. Fortunately the GS owner took it back and put it's cost toward a new Ruger Mk3

If it runs well, that would be a neat little plinker, made even better if they'd offer a threaded barrel version.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

That shows the Mauser name on the firearm.

The review says it's made by GSG, or the German Sports Group.

I had an original Mosquito. I actually like it. It ran fine with a few loads, basically hyper velocity ones. I think I used Vipers.

I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD THREAD BUT I JUST GOT MINE.

Got it about a month ago but have not been to the range yet. It has great reviews and looks very well made.

Setting it next to my P232, it really looks like the P230/232 in .22LR that Sig announced but never produced.
Only paid $239 from Classic Arms. It looks so nice I ordered an extra mag from Blue Line Solutions the importer

Will let you know about a range report.

I have one. It's not an heirloom firearm, but it's not bad for what it is: a fun plinker. I've only had mine to range once, but it ran 40 rounds of Federal AutoMatch without a hitch. Next time I'll try some other ammo in it. I generally stick to the higher velocity stuff with non-target rimfire semi-autos.

Just got back from my first range trip. I decided to start a separate thread.
