Wonder if the "regular" mag release will bring more buyers to the table, Im thinking ti will even though Ive come to appreciate the paddle release.

I prefer the paddle release, but I think it's great they are giving the option.

My trigger finger rubs against the paddle release. Doesn’t take many rounds before the finger is sore enough that I want to put the VP9 down. Would be interested in a “regular” magazine release as I like the platform and shoot it fairly well.

Wish they put the trough in the -B trigger guard, like the VP9SK.

I love the paddle release. Weren’t these made for some contract? Glad they finally released these for those that want them.

the trough was the only thing I didn't like about the VP9 I shot. Gave me a blister.

Walther has been doing this lately- the PPQ and PPS had their magazine releases changed to a button. Interestingly, the paddle release versions of PPS and PPQ (and the corresponding magazines) have remained in production (although the paddle release version of the PPQ seems to be made in production runs, and not continuous production).

I'd own an H&K or two if they had mag releases similar to every other pistol I have ever owned and extensively trained with.

Will one style of magazine work in both paddle mag and button release pistols or are two different mags required? Hope I phrased that right.

For HKs, yes is what I read in literature on HKPro. Button / Paddle mags are identical.

The mags are the same, but you obviously can't switch styles of frames.
