I've become a big fan of the 2011 and have picked up several over the past five years or so. Before that, I couldn't get past the "tacticool" look to them, but I've come to accept that's just the way the 2011 was meant to be. The design is generally what I'd consider the best shooting semi-auto design on Earth if you get the right models. The Apache would be in the "mid price" range in 2011 terms, but still has components to make it a top shooter. The 4.6" barrel with the comp and a super slick bronze and copper PVD finish on the slide, frame, barrel and controls, really puts the Apache on the 2011 map to be reckonded with. The grip isn't anything special being a cheap 3D printed polymer variety, but it is tacky and offers a secure purchase on the pistol, which is more than I can say for some other 2011 grips, polymer or otherwise. Watchtower used this grip to keep the price in check. The trigger is crisp, but at 3.5lbs, its heavy for the intended competitive use of the Apache. A Staccato XC's trigger, for example, is a full 1-1.5lbs lighter. Its not that 3.5lbs is terrible, but it definitely should be a little lighter. I put 50 rounds through it and the gun shoots super flat, which was expected with the comp. It points well and even though its setup to use an optic, I did not find the sights tall. Overall a great performer. I've been buying some 2011's in different price ranges to try to report on the best values on the market. So far, my pick is the MPA DS9 Hybrid from a value standpoint, but this Watchtower is definitely very nice in its own way. While I don't have many rounds through it, I'd recommend it based on my experience so far. Please enjoy the pics. This message has been edited. Last edited by: bac1023,

Nice looking handgun. I am unfamiliar with that model. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. Niech Zyje P-220 Steve

Take lots of baby pictures before the holster wear starts showing. Don't let it be a safe queen! ______________________________________________________________ Common sense is no longer simply uncommon. It is rare these days.

I rented one at my LGS. It was very nice, shot flat and fast but is VERY heavy. "Dyin ain't much of a livin...boy"

I guess it’s heavy compared to a polymer service pistol, but at 41oz, it’s actually 10+ ounces lighter than a typical 2011 with a steel grip.

Pew View? Beautiful pistol. Odd name! End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

It’s really just the Watchtower Apache “Pew View” is the name of the guy’s channel who helped design it. They built 1000 like this as the “Pew View Edition”. The standard Apache is the same gun, but with more traditional slide serrations.

I've seen some videos of them in action and it looks like a really nice pistol. Congrats.

I've seen this one previously. Nice weight to it but I didn't dry-fire it so I have to accept your assessment of the trigger. As for its looks... Like the presentation with the ammo can. Still not feeling the love over the aesthetics of the slide "serrations"; interesting these racking 'contact patches' but IM(jaded)O they should've been oriented squared to the slide and not angled at the seemingly random angle that they were done at. That would fit the blocky aesthetic of the gun better. Or instead better match the angle of the grip if they must be angled. But there's always someone thinking about what kind of cutesy fun they can have with CAD software and a CNC machine. Overall however I thought it to be a nice addition to the ever-crowding 2011 universe. -MG

Yeah I hear you and understand your point. Crazy designs are all the rage in the current 2011 market though
