Gold plated the controls and added the the Scandic grips and voilà.
There is no reason to believe this is a photoshop job. And, they even say that it's SIG Custom Works. They do mention "Mastershop certificate", which I think is an error. They probably meant the Custom Works Certificate.

12131Here is the SIG DE Gen 1 Scandic. Not mine.
And their Gen 2 Scandic.

P-220Absolutely beautiful.
Not sure I would ever shoot it. I would just admire it.

AnubismpIs it weird, I wish they made it in black with the same controls and grip. I think that would be sharp as hell, the Stainless is nice as well though.

flesheatingvirusGood isn’t really my thing, so hard pass.
What’s the thing going through the trigger? Is that for adjustment? It ruins the bling a bit.

.38supersigThe thing through the trigger is a screw to mount the trigger to the assembly. It can be swapped out for a flat faced trigger with ease.
The X-series guns have an assembly of 14 or so pieces for adjustability while the regular series trigger is one.
At least the price quote given includes shipping*

monoblokHmm. I think I'll just keep my Newington-speaking X-Five,
thankuverymuch.
Dem's a lotta Euros for a pimp gun, baby. While the blonde (and blue-eyed?) grips were always kind of appealing, I never did like the entirety of the Scandic vibe in any of its iterations.
EDIT: Had to look up the wood that they claim that was used. Dunno what Scandinavian measles birch is, and apparently neither does Google's AI.

92fstechI like the stainless, and love the grips, but they can keep their gold bling.

My German P226 X-Five Competition doesn’t have an adjustable trigger. But Rober Burke adjusted it very nicely. 2-1/4 lb. break, much reduced take-up and over travel, delightfully crisp reset.

colt_saaI have never been a huge fan of gold plated controls, but I had an X-6 and Black and White on order for a very, very long time and my buddY's shop got in an X-6 Scandic Blue . . .
So I bought itAs luck would have it, just a few weeks later, after more than one year of waiting for my Black and White X-6, it finally showed up
So I had no choice . . . I now own both of them
I don't think the gold looks that bad on the Scandic Blue
I do not yet own any of the American made guns. All of mine are from the Master Shop

straightshooter1I like it, but I don't know why as bling and me ain't usually compatible.
If I understand the price, it's just a bit below 5k US which takes it right out of my interests since I'm just an old retired guy on a fixed income....
But I did like the looks of it.

NavyEngineerIt's good to see there's a market for U.S. made pistols over there, but it appears to be a huge markup for a cosmetic package.

VaftocrHard pass on the gold, grips and PRICE.

12131This is the type of gun that you either like it or hate it. There is just no "growing into it". Me, I just don't care for the Scandic. Gold on natural stainless is not eye appealing at all. Don't care for the grips, either. But, some of the black DLC guns with limited gold plated controls are good looking to my eyes.
It's interesting to see that the Germans are now tasting the same situation we on this side of the pond experienced several years ago, when their government created the artificial rarity status on these Xguns by banning SIG DE from exporting them. It was then made worse, when SIG DE shut down permanently. Prices on these guns skyrocketed. Now, it's the Germans' turn to pay the prices getting the US made guns exporting there.

big_gun_manI personally love the gold accents and the grips, think they look great on the stainless gun.

Just Plain CliffAbsolutely nothing wrong with a little "bling", and it doesn't affect the way it bangs. Ask me how I know.

I see more and more people writing "walla" lately. The first time I saw it was by my boss at the time, an otherwise very sharp fellow (Air Force Academy grad with Master's in EE), and I had to ask what "walla" meant.
