policetruckBuilding a P80 G19 demo gun...
Not to plug my own business but I deal in Polymer80 kits as well as guns and thought it would be a good idea to build a demo gun for people who may be interested in building their own but afraid of the outcome. Here are some pictures, I did all of the slide embellishments/mill work on a blank G19 slide in the white. I also reshaped the trigger guard and may stipple the frame. If I do I’m not sure if it will be the traditional soldering iron way or with my laser engraver.
Obviously I’m not done, I need to do a little work on the rear dovetail and cerakote the slide but it’s pretty much there. Any color opinions for the slide?

12131Nice! Very nice! But, those sharp corners are gonna cut someone's fingers off.

Bulldog7972I think it looks great except for the cutouts which I am not a fan of on any gun.

NoQuotaVery nice! Love the slide work, but I especially like what you did with the trigger guard, the P80 guard always looked a little funky to me.

Glad I'm not the only one!
Bulldog, yeah I'm not a huge fan either. I did one just to kind of keep up with the times...

You mean the lint and dust ingress ports?

Yeah, I tried that once. Once was enough.
I like it’s looking pretty good. Maybe a gunboat grey or some kind of dull matte grey for the slide? I know it’s in the white and the lighting makes it hard to capture the color, but what I’m seeing on screen looks like a pretty decent color combo, and something different from the standard black or black and stainless. You could even do a beadblast and stonewash finish. That might look pretty interesting.

policetruckSmudge,
I was thinking a gray would be nice and different too. I like the stonewash finish, kind of like Kershaw's blackwash, that would be really cool.
