Love mine. Carry it carry it daily. It has never failed even when filthy. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation." Bought a 938 Sport in 2013. Had an issue with the mag dropping out after he first 50 rounds. Back to the mothership for repair. Issue fixed. Took it to the range and it would not feed hollow points no matter what I did. Oh yea, front sight fell out. Back to the mothership again. Sight fixed. Sig said issue with feeding hollow points was fixed. No. Back to mothership. Sig did a complete polish of everything having to do with feeding ammo. Had a note from the smith/tech describing what he did and stating that he ran a box of Sig ammo with no issues. I assumed it was fixed and did not shoot it again for a couple years but carried it concealed the whole time. Took it to the range a month ago and it would not feed more than two hollow point rounds no matter what I did. Did not try Sig ammo. If it will not reliably feed hollow points, no matter the brand,I can't depend on it. Period--end of discussion. Traded it in on a 365xl. Held my breath and took it to the range. Have over 350 rounds through it with no issues--no matter the type or brand of ammo. I understand the newer 938's are fine. I would stay away from the ones with older birthdates.

Had mine for about 3 years now. No issues with it but I much prefer the magazines with the pinky grip over the non-pinky grip version. Can be a little tough for shooters sensitive to recoil, though but I'm fine with it. _____________

I've had my P938 for about 5 years. Only issue I have is that recoil spring (Slinky) from Hell. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

I’ve had and carried two P938’s, a Blackout and a Equinox. The Blackout was early in the release of P938’s and it required heavier baller than 115gr until broken in which was no real problem since I prefer 124 and 135 grain for handguns without suppressors. Beyond that they are accurate, reliable, and easy to carry concealed. I have kids so I didn’t carry one in the chamber. I prefer DA/SA handguns but the P938 was one of the items modern Sig produced that worked well for me for years.

Mine has been great. Very nice little gun, and has been totally reliable. Sadly, it does sit in the safe. Like others have noted, the 365 brings a lot of capacity to the table, and now I left pondering what to do with it. Carry it more? Sell it? Keep it? I really don't want to get rid of it. I like it. But it is pretty heavy, and the 365 gets to go out with me now.

Did Sig ever offer a "938 HD" (all steel Model 938)? I own a P238 HD and ASAIK only the .380 provided Sig carriers such models. Below is a pic of my P238 HD (with factory electroless nickel finish) and my P938 Legion. The later is a nice version, but I'd give it up in a minute for an all steel P938! I have had mine a little over 3 years now, and pocket carry it almost every day, I did not care for the sharp ridges in the trigger, so had it replaced with a metal model and have been happy. Basically it has only been shot enough for familiarization as I was already proficient with the 1911 frame. I have the SAS model which is quite slick, along with a jr model P238, not enough difference in size and weight to be noticeable. Recently I have been considering a p365, and possibly the sas model with the ported barrel and combination tritium/dot sight.

No, Sig never released a HD version of the 938. Only the 238 HD exists. Further, when Sig was asked the last 5 or 6 Shot Shows where it is (after saying several years back, to one of our own they’d produce it), the answer: Nope, nada, not going to happen.

I have recently acquired a P938 Equinox, 10Xshooter might recognize this as it used to be his. My plan for it was to get it for my wife for her CCW, but as it happens when we took it, my Glock 26 and a P365 that I've been working on at the range, she promptly decided that the Glock was for her. She did not like the recoil of the P938 and she just preferred the trigger of the Glock over the P365. I had been using the Glock as my "off duty" since moving to patrol im my department, but I was very surprised at how well I shot both the P365 and the P938. While I find the P365 to be an amazing gun, the P938 carries so well, it just seems to disappear on me and is an absolute laser to shoot. I plan to qualify with both of these eventually and to see if I will can authorization to carry the P938 as a "back up" for "on-duty" and "off-duty" and use the P365 for "off duty". I will say this, other than maybe getting new recoil springs for the P938, I have complete confidence in the P938 right now. It gobbled up everything I fed it with no problems. It seems to prefer heavier rounds for reliable function, but that may be a sign of needing a new recoil spring. I recently changed the firing pin of the P365 with a newer factory one as the original broke, so I still plan to shoot it alot before pronouncing it GTG as a life saver. As an aside. After how many rounds should the recoil spring of the P938 should it be replaced?

I read this post, and I just had to try it. I ordered one of the Kimber magazines. I can confirm that it fits the P938 just fine, and the magazine release works as it should. I have not loaded any ammunition in it, nor have I test fired it, because our gun club is closed until further notice, because virus. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I had that problem also but then I got the cure on this forum. I cut a 5 inch piece of wooden dowel (I think it’s 5/16 in diameter) when replacing the recoil spring, slide the dowel through the smaller hole in the front of the slide and through the spring; this stops the slinky effect and holds the spring stiff enough to be replaced easily.

Been carrying in front pocket every day for years. Function test at the range every few months with no problem at all. Risk the consequences of honesty...

My P938 Blackwood is my EDC. I like the gun a lot. Super accurate with great sights (mine has night sights) and is great looking. I did have to return it to SIG at one point as it kept dropping the 7 round magazine a common problem). It was fine with the six rounder, however. Upon return from SIG, it has been flawless.
