bryanZ06Anyone have a Bobcat in .22?
I've had one for a couple of years now. Mine doesn't like bulk pack ammo all that much, but has been 100% reliable with CCI Stingers/Mini Mags. Bulk ammo would probably drop that down to 85% reliability. As others have mentioned the trigger isn't great and the sights are pretty bad. With good ammo it is reliable and accurate in my experience.
I bought one specifically to use as a small suppressor host with a Rugged Oculus and I've been happy with it in that role. Despite the minor issues, I love my 21A.

craigcpaThanks for all the response. Seems like, just like every other firearm related item, during this chaotic period new Bobcats are ridiculously priced. I’ll just have to wait this out to get one.
Thanks all.

pedropcolaDid somebody just really say they have never had a problem with the sights getting misaligned? Ummm, they are called fixed sights for a reason.
These guns in 22 are not reliable. It is only partly the ammo. The gun isn’t a great design. It’s the definition of finicky. When you have to buy a certain style of 22 rounds to get it to function no amount of rationalization makes it a good gun. It is a fun gun when it works. But to quote or misquote the old saying, only reliable guns are interesting.
The conundrum is some of them run well. It just isn’t a great percentage. If you have one of those, cherish it, don’t change anything, just pray that it continues that way.
I’m going to get a threaded version. I really think the added backpressure of a can might solve some cycling problems. Nothing solves a stuck case. Nothing solves tiny barely useable sights.
This gun screams for a redesign. The Tomcars have small but useable sights. That alone would be a big improvement. And yes an extractor would be nice.
If you want one of these for carry purposes you really need to upgrade to a centerfire version. Then you just get to deal with frame cracks.
I love these guns. Don’t confuse that with these are great guns. They aren’t.

redlickranchI currently own the .22 and .32 pop up barrel models. I have had luck with HV ammo and Stinger Ammo and mine is really reliable. My .22 model I carry when out in the woods due to its small size. Sometimes I'll carry the .32 model while wearing shorts. Great little guns. Both of mine function flawlessly, but accuracy is not very good after about 15 yards.

wxlMy Inbox has been reliable with mini mags. Fairly accurate at 10 feet

BlackTalonJHPCheck the sold items on GunBroker. I've seen new Inox .22's go for around $300 in the past month.

Sgt 127I had the .22 short (Minx?). And it ran ok.
I’ve got the .25 21A. It’s really a neat little gun.
I’d consider a .22 for plinking and fun.
If I thought I might stick it in my pocket to defend myself, I’d go with the .25. I don’t recall it ever jamming.

Found another problem or another grip screw?
If it's grip screws, I'd buy 4 to make sure they match.

toivoI have the Taurus clone, which isn't exactly a clone; it's DAO, whereas the Beretta is DA/SA. But it's the same tip-up barrel gizmo.
My Taurus works best with Mini-Mags. Second choice is Federal AutoMatch. It doesn't do well with standard velocity ammo.
I also have a Beretta 950 Jetfire in .25 -- a lot of fun, but the ammo gets pricey.

jaybirdaccountantMy last one was super picky about ammo. Some ammo wouldn't work at all. It really wasn't 100% with anything I tried in it though.
