I still have my first center fire revolver. An 8 inch 1981 blue Python. If that gun could talk....I carried it over hill and dale in the farm lands of northern Indiana. I shot over populated chipmunks in the summer and shot up all the water melons left in Dad's patch every Thanksgiving. If you miss something, it's not the guns fault.

Got a Talo 686 plus with a 5" barrel that seems like a sweet spot for balance. Also have a couple 3" GP100s that are pretty good, if a little heavy.
My 6" GP is too nose heavy for me. Makes it annoying to shoot, but of course it was what I bought first. Live and learn I guess.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

I generally prefer .44 over .357 in a revolver so I only have one .357 Magnum. I guess that makes it my favorite .357 Magnum.
I bought this one used. Well used cosmetically. Mechanically very little usage.
I added the parkerized carbon steel 9mm cylinder and the high polish stainless Birdshead grip. I almost never use the stainless .357 cylinder.
It's my tractor gun. (do not care if it gets wet, muddy, scratched)

This topic & great thread shines bright. I rate it excellent for all the terrific write ups and fine pics.
I am partial to N frame Smiths, but my Mod. 19-4 has been refurbished like new mechanically & I think it shoots as good as my Nickel 8in. COLT Python. My only .357 wheelguns. ( both have smoothed out triggers … no stacking in DA. pulls)

No .357 revolvers at this time, but my favorite one to shoot that I owned was a S&W Customs Service 686 CS-1.
