Purchased the E2 Grip Upgrade Kit https://www.sigsauer.com/e2-gr...-for-p220-da-sa.html Watched a YouTube video on swapping out the parts. Makes sense to swap out the de-cocker, but does one need to swap out the hammer strut? Also, the video never used that tool. How does that get used? Anyone have a link to a video?

Word on the street is, the video can be found under your caps lock key. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

I've done it many times. The tool is for removing the grip. You don't need it to install. However, try installing the grip with the existing hammer strut and seat. Sometimes the E2 grip will work fine that way. If not, then you'll need to swap out the strut and seat and that's when you might need the tool to remove the grip.

The E2 grips will need the E2 strut to work. Newer production guns will have an E2 strut. Long strut, short base. Older ones will have the New Style strut. Short strut, long base. First generation ones have the Old Style with the pin at the bottom.
