I just picked up a P365XL and I noticed my mags are super tight. They're supposed to 12 rounders but I can barely get a couple rounds in them. Did anyone else have that problem? And if so can you suggest a remedy? Thanks!

Yeah, P365 mags tend to be pretty tight, I ended getting an UpLULA mag loader:

Tear them down and run a lubricated cloth through the interior of the mag body…

Normal for the mags to be very tight. Followed the advice of other posters here on SF. I didn't bother with a mag loader though.
When new, rd 12 is a bear. Load 11 and leave for a week or two. Then load 12 and leave for around three weeks. I can now load up 12 by hand. Last is tough, but doable.
I carry with 12+1 rds. However, my two spares are only loaded with 11. VERY tight spring tension on top rd with 12. Concerned about failure to seat under stress if needed in a gunfight.
If you can only get two or three rounds in, that's something I can't help with.

SIG should provide each P365 they sell with the UpLULA.

Ha. I am literally sitting here loading brand new 17 round Macro mags for my new P365 Macro. I had to get the UpLula loader out after about 4 rounds. Springs are TIGHT.

Tight is not the word. I had to have a friend who unknowingly had a thumb that bends a weird way get number 12 in there. He thinks the weird thumb made it possible.

The 17 rounders are the only mags I've ever met that I couldn't load by hand. The 10 and 12 rounders were tight, but I managed. I couldn't do the 17. After sitting for a couple of weeks with 16 in them I got the 17th in, but it's still really tough.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

I was always able to load mine but the Uplula makes the job much easier and works on most other brands too.
They are tight indeed. I found a Speed Beeze loader on Amazon . It was cheep in price but the best for loading these mags. They are weapon specific , the mag locks in like a pistol and has a lever to load each round when full you press the mag release and go to your next mag. I do have a uplula but prefer this for P365 mags.

I always am amazed that shooters don’t have an uplula or three sitting around. I think loading any magazine, tight or not, is much easier with one. To me it’s like having bore snakes. You don’t have to have one but man are they convenient.
I’m surprised speed beez went that way. Every time I see their loader I chuckle. Who wants a dozen loaders in their range bag. If I owned 1 gun then sure. I’ve never found it particularly irksome to support the bottom of a mag using uplula, which I think is the imagined drawback. Before they made the 22 version I bought a modified 22 one off the CZ forum guy. I still use that one for my Kadets plus it still works for centerfires. I do love speed beez stuff though. I always thought the “scissors” motion would get uncomfortable during a long range session.

My P365 macro tacops came with a Glock style speed loader. Even with the speed loader it's hard to get all 17 rounds in the mags. This message has been edited. Last edited by: walker77,

If its a double stack mag, then I have no idea how tight it is...I always use Maglula. Its also my go to gift to shooting pals who don't have one. always appreciated, never re-gifted.
