I've always liked the look of two tone pistols, but have never had one. I have a 226R SS, and a 226 Enhanced Elite. I've swapped slides and really like the SS frame with the black (nitron) slide. Before I call this a done deal and shoot it I find that I need the blessing of this illustrious forum.

Am I fixen to screw something up? I don't think so ... but need confirmation

Not likely, but there are a few things to check before firing.

Does the slide move freely on the frame?
Does the slide/barrel lock up on the frame?
Can you feed a dummy round from a magazine?
Can you dry fire the dummy round?
Will the slide lock back on the frame?

If yes to the above, give it a try.

Are they both the same caliber? If so, you should be fine.

Swap away. It's fun.
RTT SIGs always look great, to my eyes.

Btw, didn't you use to have the TT P227? Or, am I thinking of another member?
